Skywind, Morrowind-in-Skyrim

Couldn't care less.
Never liked the environment or enemies in Morrowind.

Well ****, I was just about to download Morrowind Overhaul 3.0, but that seems pointless now.

The Morrowind overhaul still looks better than this. And I did download the latest version of this out and it's nowhere near finished. No voices yet and for some reason most characters were naked. The environments in certain areas are also very bland. Can't wait for it to be finished, but for the forseeable future I don't see it releasing anytime soon.

This is one of those projects that I REALLY hope is completed. I'd love to replay morrowind in a new light but have a hard time justifying it as of right now. I don't care if it takes 5 years to complete, I just hope it see's completion.

I think it will be finished eventually. They have a lot of people working on it and a lot of the most difficult parts are already finished. But I'd certainly not choose this over the overhaul at the moment. Even with my 300+ Skyrim graphics mods, this doesn't look as good as the overhaul yet. Once its closer to completion it may, but right now its very "empty" so to speak (Reasonable considering its an Alpha).

Really? I still maintain that Morrowind had the best music out of the entire series.

It's not that the music is bad, not that at all. But my god I've heard the Morrowind theme alone probably more than any other single piece of music I've ever heard because it's played sooooo often in game.

Although if I recall correctly, the overhaul mod gives the option of adding some additional music. I think I recall hearing some of Oblivion's music in it.

I feel like this is an excellent topic to share this.

https://openmw.org/en/

Open source Morrowind engine that will run the game, its expansions, and all existing mods (that don't require an external program), while improving performance and allowing every single thing in the game to be moddable.

You can check out their Youtube page that showcases all the progress they've made in each major update.

No matter how much modding you do... Bethesda games are still boring.

I think I'm probably in the minority but I would have preferred they left the dialogue system alone. Playing through Planscape and Baldur's Gate made me appreciate the added immersion all the reading added to the game. I don't like how nowadays all developers (at least AAA) feel they have to make their games into movies.
