Well with GW2 you don't need to have friends as you can pretty much just join a party by being in the area.

Well you get followers in SWTOR. I played it as a single player game just for the story when it went free to play up till around level 35. I'm going back to finish the story. If you go in with the basis of the game as just the free to play version than the the very limiting restrictions won't bother you. The only thing that irritated me as I leveled up higher was the 2 action bar limit which made it annoying. Otherwise the story is pretty good. Gameplay is basically WoW.

Or you know you could just find a guild and make some friends in game.

Kinda the point to an MMO. Playing with others, that is.

In Dragon Nest, if you play a Tinkerer, you don't need a party.
