Is there any way to use an Android tablet as a "remote" for a Windows PC?

Cool, thanks for all the input, folks!

I'm giving the Unified Remote app a try right now and it seems to work fairly well. Can anyone tell me if the paid version (or any of the other similar apps) has "remotes" for Media Player Classic and/or iTunes?

Yes, it does have itunes support. I can't comment on MPC though.

^^

Splashtop simply gives you control of your desktop so you can pretty much do anything as if you were sitting in front of it. (aside from playing games, though i do use it to check auction houses in MMO's and have played some turn based games like Civ V)

Not free, at least on IOS, but Splashtop Remote has served me well the past couple years.

When this first launched it actually was free. It was a very solid piece of software at launch and I don't imagine they've screwed it up. As long as it's still good I highly recommend it, very well worth the nothing I paid for it :P not sure what it costs now but honestly I would have paid $10 gladly.
