Anyone own Astro 50s?

Are they good? I read professional reviews and they seem to score great, highly recommended even tho they cost $300 but then I see some reviews on a store site and it's fairly negative. What's up Gamefaqs, or any other wireless headset to be recommended?

For the price, they're pretty terrible. Mediocre audio quality all around. The Mixamp is pretty good for getting surround sound out of your consoles though.

Yeah, without testing the product first I can't put down that much money on something so subjective as audio. I decided to go with the Corsair Vengeance 2100 headphones, $140 and fairly decent reviews so whatever, it's not a huge loss if its horrible. (I'm not a complete audiophile)

The Skullcandy PLYR 1 is about the only thing I'd recommend off-hand. The G930 isn't bad either, but a lot of people seem to have problems with theirs (I never had any problems with mine).

For the price, you can get AKG Q701 headphones and a blue yeti desktop condenser mic, which will blow away any headset in existence.
