Windows on SSD but how to store stuff on HDD?

#1Cobra1010Posted 1/12/2014 8:26:12 PM
Is there any way where when I click Pictures, Videos, Documents, it points me straight to the folders I created in the HDD?

Right now, when i play on documents, it opens up the documents in the SSD. I want to point it to the documents folder i created in the SSD.

Is there any way of doing this?

Right click the folder, choose properties, and click "include a folder." Add whichever folder you've moved it to on the HDD. Now, the shortcut will show you the contents of the HDD and SSD for the designated folders.
All childish acts of aggression, shall be handled with laughter.

I navigated to my "my documents" folder and then right clicked on it, chose "properties" and clicked the Location tab...

That gives me this option:

You could change that to any location you want.

Cool nice, i never realised that after making the changes the path to the folder stays the same on the address bar. I thought it actually makes copies. I tested with a picture, it appeared in both "This PC>Pictures" and in my D Drive>Pictures.

I thought it made duplications but then i deleted the picture in D drive and the picture in ThisPC also disappeard.

Not bad, but can be a bit confusing.
