This is how PC gaming should be. None of that horrible digital download trash. You get a glorious physical copy AND it activates on Steam. Talk about a win/win.

Can't wait to add my Microsoft Store purchases to it.

Don't you wish your Steam library looked this glorious? And the console peasants say that PC gaming is expensive or you can't get physical copies of your games. Pah!

What a waste of space. Different strokes for different folks though. Also instant turn off for most women in my experience. At least I can hide my obsession for a few dates :P

On topic,

That's awesome that microsoft is trying to compete with steam in a more reasonable manner. I will definitely add it to my watch list of sites to buy from if sales like that are semi frequent.

Yea... Out of Stock, Out of Stock, Out of Stock.

I'll keep my console collection physical but I'm perfectly fine with digital PC games I mean I wouldn't have room for the 1,059 games I have on Steam.

Nope, not in the least bit. Huge waste of space in my personal opinion. I don't need a physical disc to enjoy a video game more. But hey, whatever makes you happy.

I used to care about boxes and manuals... well, sometimes I still wish I had a decent manual that I could read while I'm taking a dump, but boxes? They take up space and ultimately sit in a closet or on a shelf somewhere and gathers dust. Plus I'm pretty sure one of the main reasons why they can sell games for 75-90% off and still make a profit is because there's no physical media to manufacture, no warehouses needed to hold the stock, no shipping, no middle man, etc.

If it activates on steam, then your physical disc is worthless. If the physical box/disc contains a copy of the game that is standalone, that would mean something. but if you're paying for a disc you'll use maybe once, then that's a huge waste.

Here's the problem with your version of the future.

OUT OF STOCK.

Yeah, it's MUCH more rare for digital copies to go out of stock, since they depend only on a key. Physical copies go out of stock much easier, meaning that sale is worthless to us. Out of stock destroys your argument. Your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.

Your opinion might be a bit less bad if you can find a way to get me one of those $7.50 copies of Heart of the Swarm...

Except I haven't been able to buy anything from them for months because none of my credit cards will go through. I've called them 10+ times and made zero progress. Worst customer support I've ever experienced.

That's what I've been waiting on. Not that I would be able to order it even if it did come back in stock...

Could care less = you care at least somewhat. Couldn't care less = you don't care at all.

I also laugh at the "Free Shipping Free Returns" followed by "All sales are final."
