ASUS VG248QE: Concerning external speakers

#1ZantraxPosted 1/15/2014 5:08:25 PM
I've been playing my Xbox 360 using my ASUS VG248QE monitor and it has built in speakers but they are rather poor quality so I'm wonder if there's anyway to plug my Xbox 360 into the monitor via HDMI and then somehow use external speakers to get the sound from the monitor, as the 360 doesn't have any audio outputs other than HDMI.

Looks like there's an earphone jack on the left side of the monitor. Can you not just plug a speaker in there?

there should be a headphone jack on the back of the monitor if it has speakers, some even have it without having speakers

Well I tried using the headphone jack before and I didn't hear any sounds, just tried it again and realized the speakers are just really quiet compared to when they're plugged into my PC. Thanks!
