3) Probably your best option on your budget. Buy a HD558 and a Dealextreme clip-on now and add a Xonar DG/DGX later for Dolby Headphone.

This would be my suggestion.

If you dont have a built in amp in a sound card, I recommend that Astro Mixamp, especially if you have optical audio output. It makes all my games sound amazing and you don't have to use their headset. Just make sure its a headset you like that are not earbuds really. Also makes using Skype or any VoIP more managable during gameplay.

Good to know Ill look into it. Thanks.

Are these better then then the pc360's?

Also the Bose headphones I listed do have a Mic which is ment for phones but it would work for gaming to right?

The HD558's are better than the PC360's and the Mic on the Bose headset will not work on your PC. Plus Bose doesn't have the best sound quality, so you're better off going with the Sennheiser phones.

Forget headsets. They all sound like ass.

Get a pair of these:
http://amzn.com/B004444O3W

Then get a separate microphone. I recommend this one:
http://amzn.com/B002VA464S

It's expensive, but it is pretty much the best mic your'e going to get. It's a desktop condenser mic, so you have complete control over the direction it picks up, etc.

You can get a mod mic for $20 or so, but I'd recommend saving up for the Blue Snowball ($58 right now) or Blue Yeti.

You need to stop with this response to all these topics. People have different budgets and even the most hardcore gamers aren't going to drop $100 (or even $60) on a microphone. TC is also located in Canada, so he's kinda SOL on any reasonable prices for this stuff.
