Pure stealth games are badass. Just because asscreed managed to screw it up doesn't mean anything. It also doesn't mean you should take an old series and destroy it's soul.

God that's terrible. Why even name the game Thief? Geez.

My favorite parts were:

"We want you to play as a thief, but we don't want to force you to play as a thief"
Uh...what? The whole point of the game is that Garrett is a Master Thief! This statement is inconsistent with all the "this is a story game" bullcrap.

and of course:

"Erin had a taste for killing, which lead to the pair falling out..."
And yet, most of the game is actually focused on killing now. Does that make any sense? No?

Wow, that plot. So she died in a collapsing building? I bet there's a totally unpredictable plot twist where she's not dead and is the "charismatic rebel leader".

So...

1) a larger focus on combat
2) QTEs as a feature
3) more linear mission design
4) "modern audience of today's console market"
5) instant takedowns after blocking
6) no magic, resulting in the setting having very little to do with the original (awesome) setting

...and the best one of all...

I have no words. I mean... no, just... why? What did Thief do to deserve this?

Edit: Apparently, they removed the XP system. That's good, I suppose. Still,

Which is why it's pointless jumping to conclusions until the game is actually out. So many people have formed an opinion on this game that has nothing to do with the facts of what the game actually is and isn't - And we won't know what the game is until it's released.

Everything about this game has been pointing to trainwreck, and if one of the images above doesn't convince you of this then you weren't a fan of the series in the first place.

Yeah, it's not like Thief was practically THE game that started the whole genre to begin with. All they have to do is look at it for inspiration.
