Best cheap graphics cards?

#1pwnater777Posted 1/21/2014 7:18:01 PM
Not looking for anything flashy, just the best deals for under $100. It's not like I'm wanting to play Crysis with optimal, I just don't want to be stuck with my AMD Radeon HD 5450 since I'm now getting into PC gaming. Heck, even something that'd just be able to run games like Skyrim, Battlefield, or really any other newer releases without going down to a framerate of around 10 fps.

Would it accomplish things like Skyrim and BF4 like I mentioned with at least 30 fps, or around there? I mean, I want quality, but I don't want to shell out too much. I'd even be fine with minimum settings.

As far as new cards you are limited to the 7750 or gtx 650 for $100. AMD is releasing the r7 260 very soon. It will cost $110. Or this is a very good too: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121727

That looks like it'd be perfect, thanks. Though I was talking to my friend and he mentioned power sources; would I need an external power source for this? And how would I know otherwise?
