Why do people say the max a human eye can see is 60HZ?

Anyone can go to a nice TV/monitor at Walmart and see that the 120HZ TV's are much smoother, wha up with that? Maybe the max is between 60 and 120HZ?

I'm not sure, but it probably doesn't help that people keep making unnecessary topics about it.

The human eye see everything at once not in fps. A good example is a picture book if you flip the pages slowly your eyes can distinguish the edges of the pages clearly since the center of your vision which is about 2% of the entire surface area of your eye can see in 'hd' when you flip the pages fast they begs blurry not because of fps but due to motion and speed and the object not being in your hd vision range long enough to really view........

I know it complex but pretty 2% of your eye is built to see things as is in clear detail the rest is built to see light and motion

Back in the day of CRT's, there is a reason it was called "Flicker Free" 75 Hz.

Humans can see at least 75 FPS and alot of people can see more.
