Or, you know, it could be exactly like Bethesda making a fuss over Notch using "scrolls". You remember Bethesda, the developer that doesn't make casual games and didn't ruin gaming?

What? Skyrim is probably the most casual open world sandbox RPG ever created. It's baby's first RPG in every sense.

I don't care about your opinion regarding how skyrim measures up to other RPGs. We're talking about gaming as a whole here.

If you think Skyrim is a casual game, you don't know what casual means.

Sounds like somebody has never played Final Fantasy Mystic Quest.

Regarding the topic at hand:

Maybe Square-Enix should file a trademark complaint since they obviously have a prior claim thanks to the Romancing Saga and Saga Frontier games. -_-

They took Bejeweled and then made it hard to play.... not difficult in the traditional sense, but hard to play. Either you have to pay up in microtransactions or else you have to spam your friends with ads for the game to get more turns. Skinner box stuff.

As of right now the trademark is "up for publication" but hasn't been finalized yet. There's a month from when it was "published" for someone to complain about it and keep it from happening.

I just hope this gives the company enough bad publicity that every investor pulls out.

Hopefully they will be stupid enough to send one of those letters to a big company like Squenix or EA. And then they can unleash their army of lawyers to crush king.

Oh that Bethesda, the developer who didn't resurrect the Fallout series just to make a sad mockery of it or ruin their own ES games post Morrowind to cater to... a broader, casual market. Nope, not casual or anything. Todd Howard and gang are very hardcore.
