Have you ever tried to use a non mouse device as your daily pointing device?

I've tried to use a old Synaptic touchpad way back in the day, it kind of sucked for daily computer usage.

Never liked any of the touchpads on any laptop that I've used.

As for trackballs, one day, I'll give a trackball a fair shot.

What about you folks?

Have you ever tried to use something that is a non-mouse as your daily pointing device?

The only non mouse device I've used has been MouseKeys on my bedroom computer which I use for watching YouTube and such when I didn't have a spare mouse on hand and that wasn't constant use.
Damn it.. I swear I had something for this..

I use a small drawing tablet as my mouse replacement. Much easier on the hands.

I find touchpads to be better for browsing but I don't use one exclusively.

I'm stuck using my crappy 3 button backup mouse (Logitech M100) until I stop being lazy and buy a new gaming mouse. It's almost impossible to browse the internet without forward/back and horizontal scroll buttons, so IMO that counts.

I was bored once and tried using a PS2 controller as a mouse. It was about as awful as it sounds.
