I picked up a physical copy for $30 from the Microsoft Store recently and been playing through the campaign. One of the most entertaining and epic single player FPS campaigns I've played on PC. That opening and firefight in space was hilarious and awesome at the same time.
The graphics are also not nearly as poor as everyone likes to exaggerate. Texture quality is impressive. Not many PC games I have seen with textures this hi res. NVIDIA claims this game has 4K resolution textures and I buy it. It's eating up all 3 GB of VRAM on my GTX 780s. It's no Metro: Last Light but it's still one of the best looking shooters on this platform which is quite good for such an old engine.
Every graphical option is customizable and the locked FoV is a complete non-issue as a third party program changes it quick and easy to whatever you want it to be.
TL;DR: don't listen to neckbeards who like to hate on things that are popular. Everyone complaining about this game either has never played it or has a peasant-tier PC that it performs poorly on. Works great on my SLI GTX 780s.
Out of every single call of duty, going back to the very first one way back when on the pc all those years ago, I found the story in black ops 1 the most captivating. I couldn't stop playing it untill the credits rolled, I was hooked and enjoyed the twists.
I didn't get into ops 2 or ghosts and gave up after an hour of each of them two, no doubt I'll give em another go sometime.
