Yeah just finished and the Seiki TV does true 120Hz at 1920 x 1080. Makes me feel much better about the TV. It also doesn't have as many random issues with the new firmware.

hows the tv look at 1080P, i have read the up-scaling is horrendous?. Also whats the general overall picture quality of the tv, is it an ips panel?, does 2K also only run at 30hz?

The 1080p scaling is okay, but there is overscan. Thats easily fixed by adjusting driver settings though. it seems like their is a newer version of the 50 inch firmare floating around that fixes it though.

Otherwise 1080p has good scaling. It wasnt too bad even before the update. 2560 x 1440 @ 60hz has absolutely terrible scaling though. It's blurry and just not worth it. It sucks though because that is a great compromise between 4K @ 30hz and 1080p @ 120.

TBH, I haven't touched many of any games on steam in a very very long time

So you don't even game that much yet you're going to get another R9 290 and a 4k monitor for gaming? Makes sense....

no 60hz, no buy. Don't care what the price is.

This. I don't care if it's 32k I'm not using 30Hz.
