I've had enough of Windows 8

#11LoshadtPosted 1/30/2014 12:06:56 AM
Windows 8 isn't that bad, my biggest gripe with it is that it's filled to the brim with small annoyances that have no reason to be there outside of Microsoft being spiteful.

No, I don't want to open this file with your Photo Viewer App, it's a video file, and speaking of which WHY WON'T YOU LET ME DELETE YOUR STUPID PHOTO VIEWER APP?

The uninstaller in Windows 8 is exactly the same as the one in Windows 7...

windows key + s, type in what you want, like uninstall and you will get there.

Or right click the start key, control panel, unisntall programs is right there.

Win 8 and is pretty easy.

You don't even need to hit the Windows + S. You can just hit the Windows key and start typing. It will find what you want.

windows 8 tries so hard to be a mac product, I hate the mac OS! why would you do that? Really want a new laptop but since they all come with windows 8 they can go to hell, my old desktop will do nicely.

Pretty much. With classic shell and some regedit magic it doesn't feel much different from Windows 7. Only annoyance I have is having to look up where certain functions are now located, which was true with W7, Vista, XP, and all the way back.

Certain things are improved, even, much as I hate to say it. Changing startup programs is a lot easier, for example.

Use startisback, it is a lot better than classic shell.
