The big new titles usually go 25%-50% off within 6 months. After about a year, you can usually find most big titles on sale for 75-90% during a summer/winter sale. You can still find good sales during weekly sales, just not really for new games.

Recent "big" games usually take one to two years to get good discounts. Don't expect more than 25% off for a new game

Depends on the publisher and sometimes the games themselves. Titles like Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider both released around the same time last year and they were less than $10 during the Fall and Winter sales.

Big titles get sales too. It's not uncommon for a release to hit 50% off within a few months.

It's not uncommon to see brand new games on sale on Day 1 of their release either.

Also make sure to keep an eye on humble bundles (https://www.humblebundle.com) as they change quite frequently and can usually be redeemed on Steam.

I disagree, I got Cod Ghost for 50% off early this month and AC Blackflag for 60% percent off mid this month. Most games go on sale quick for PC but there are exceptions.

If you're diligent, you'll never pay full price ($60) for a game, even brand new, usually unless it's on Origin.

Right now, I have Thief and Titanfall pre-ordered for $35 and $45 respectfully, both from greenmangaming.com. AC4 I got $30 only two weeks after PC release; granted that had been around the November Crazy Sales Season, which also generally when games that hadn't been on sale at any other point year will be.

And of course, there's Steam.

I was just curious, bc I kept seeing "steam sales rock" so I looked on the site and they still had cod ghosts and AC4 at full price..... does Amazon sell keys and how good are their prices?

These might not be the greatest examples, but Tomb Raider was just on sale on uplay for $12.50 I think, and Deus Ex Directors cut was $5.00. I thought I just read AC4 was on sale somewhere for ike $20 the other day.

PC games have tons of great sales, but not every game is on sale all the time. But between

Steam
uplay
gog.com
amazon

And I know theres more out there, youll have plenty of great choices.
