Been bored with everything lately. Looking for a fun, relatively simple, indie RPG, sim, or whatever is noteworthy. Last few I played that I really liked was Eternal Eden by Blossomsoft and Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale. I guess I am looking for something along the lines of that but it doesn't have to be. I do like building/town/shop type games too.

Why restrict to indie, indie RPGs almost invariably suck.

Try Storm of Zehir, you build a merchant empire and a stronghold while adventuring in a heroic party of upto six.

Or not, I haven't played the "RPGs" you mentioned, but what I haven't played probably sucks.

Terraria is indie, and half RPG.
I'd play more MMOs if there was no chat.

I've been playing SanctuaryRPG lately and it's been pretty fun. The best part is that it's free with the option to donate if you want. You can check it out here:

I'd stay away from anything remotely related to Neverwinter Nights. Crap ass game, both 1 and 2. Buggy, stupid, clunky. etc.

Play Icewind Dale 1 and 2 instead.

It was an OK game. Its very generic and not worth its asking price at all.

Icewind Dale 1/2 are just straight up hack and slash dungeon crawlers. They don't have the building "town/shop" component TC asked for.

Also, ignorance much? Both NWN and NWN2 have been majorly patched, and there are no serious outstanding issues.

And you're only talking about the OCs, the expansions addressed many issues and are all worth playing (Mask of the Betrayer and Storm of Zehir especially).
