ok so im going to purchase one of these but still not sure honestly what to get

so can anyone give me some advice or maybe tell me a little bit about their experience? I really want to get one but I just can't decide which will be better in the long run.

I understand that DayZ is pretty much PvP straight up and while that sounds good and all it seems like Rust just has a bit more going for it since I heard they plan to add wild life instead of zombies and ability to build/craft could be good or awful im not sure

Rust.

I'll Elaborate.

Starting out is frustrating since it throws you into the game. BUT if you know someone they can help you get used to it. It is also a pain when you have tons upon tons of stuff and you get raided and lose it all, but that's the name of the game.

I just started again on my 3rd server since my friend finally bought a 100 person server.

Great game; I thought I'd spend a few hours playing it up I'm up to 95hours

Well, in Rust, you'll get demolished by hackers.

In DayZ, you'll also get demolished by hackers, but there seems to be much fewer compared to Rust.

So DayZ's winning for now.

Apparently, the problem is rampant.

Neither. Rust if filled with hackers and DayZ is filled with... nothing since it's an empty game. Get Nether.

It's a concern for the devs, so it's obviously a legitimate concern. However, the fact that it's a concern is re-assuring.

I don't know what DayZ's business model is, but I can't stand the one they're using for Rust at this point. They're making the server files super-secret and forcing people to rent from providers. If DayZ is anything like the mod, both of these server configurations are severely flawed.
