i played and enjoyed both, however its going to feel strange going from conviction to blacklist when the VA and model of sam were changed between the two

Yeah and worse, it's explicitly a direct sequel.

Would have been fine if they'd rebooted it or at least set it a bit more distantly story-wise.

How does the PS3 version of Double Agent compare to the other versions?

Conviction is terrible. Just another mindless action shooter.

Blacklist lets you choose between playing classic Splinter Cell style and Conviction-style. This is the one to play. Avoid Conviction at all costs.

I've never played much of the series. Conviction plays totally different, so a lot of fans really hate it. To me it felt like Batman: Arkham Asylum with guns, and that isn't a bad thing. The game is as stealthy, strategic, or as pure action as you want it to be, but the game rewards you more for using stealth tactics and picking your spots. It's like if you plan a stealth takedown on this guy then you can do stuff like mark targets and when you release it, Sam will shoot them all in one sequence kinda like Jason Bourne.

Someone explain this to me. http://puu.sh/6GMMP.png

Look at the prices of all items and the final price. I really do not understand.
