Any programs besides the default Windows program(s) for checking for errors on (external) hard drives?
I have built http://pcpartpicker.com/p/P5kr - Minus a few parts.

Western Digital has Lifeguard Diagnostic. And Seagate has Seatools.

Both are pretty decent for detecting errors.
