Bluetooth dongle not recognized

#1KeyBladeAcePosted 2/1/2014 11:06:52 PM
Hey all, bought a new generic bluetooth dongle from something like eBay, reviewer had a 99% rating and was an online retailer so I would say reliable. The dongle came by itself, no cd or anything, and is meant to be a plug and play kind of thing. But when i plug it in, it says USB device not recognized and tells me to reinsert it. Any ideas? No brand name whatsoever.

You are going to need to find some drivers that work with it. Go to check out toshiba or lenovo's site for drivers. If those dont work then try other big company sites.

Check Windows Update's optional updates to see if it found you a driver. In the rare occasion that it doesn't, find out what chipset the dongle is using then google it to find the right driver. Last but not least, eBay is really good at screwing over sellers. Complain and you'll get your money back and get to keep the dongle. But keep in mind that this makes you an ***hole.
