I download games faster than they would install from the disc drive.

You also listen to Taylor Swift, we can't all be winners >.>

You know the biggest reason I support Tay-Tay, is because she hasn't become a train wreck like most young celebrities, thats a reason to admire and she is actually a good role model, but I do like some of her songs, not all of them though.

My internet is a fair bit faster than my disc drive. I installed Skyrim from the disc figuring I'd save the bandwidth and was shocked at how long it took.

Anyone else remember Battlefield 2? Took FOREVER to fully install, between all the discs, cd keys, expansion packs, having to download all these patches. Sometimes you had to download from version X to version Y before the latest version Z. It was probably the most painful game to reinstall if you had the original only.

Remember BF2?
I just uninstalled it and reinstalled it days ago.

I'd play more MMOs if there was no chat.

Yeah, I guess that would suck for some people.

I have decently fast internet, I can't think of a game that takes 5 hours to install. But when I had slower internet I just downloaded stuff overnight or when I was at work.

how big was the game to take you 5 hours to install? That sounds like a 50GB game right there

I doubt it takes 5 hours to install a 15gig game from disk though.

Where do your internet connections come from to be so bad? My fiberop takes most games and downloads it within minutes.

Its gotten to the point where I'd much rather a digital copy, just so I don't have to deal with seeing CD/DVDs lying around

5 hours for 15GB? So you download at 830KB/s? That's a 6Mb/s DL speed. Sloooooooooooooooow

I have Satellite internet with a 10 GB a month cap. So yeah, I couldn't even download Skyrim even if I didn't care if I used the internet for the next month.
