Has Blizzard justified trying to sell Diablo3 XP for 100% price but 25% content?

You mean like Lord of Destruction?

Blizzard isn't releasing an expansion for Diablo 3; it died when Vivendi strangled Blizzard North. It's World of Diablocraft, Blizzard's newest MORPG, that's getting an expansion.

How is $40 (which is what the Diablo 3 xpac is) full price

I think $40 is fair. Sometimes their expansions don't add much "content" in terms of pure areas, but they change the game enough to make it feel like a whole new game.

Blizzard's expansions (minus the WoW ones) have always been rather pricey while simultaneously being low on content and significant changes. This isn't anything new.

People gobble them up anyway. I'm sure Diablo 3's expansion will be a best seller.

As far as I know, only the Diablo expansions have been low on content compared to the first game. The expansions for StarCraft 1, 2, WarCraft 2 and 3 all have campaigns rivaling the length of the originals. True, the multiplayer component and the races themselves only get a few new units, few maps whatever, but that justifies the price difference of $40 compared to $60.

On the other hand, it is true that this expansion seems expensive and low on content, especially since most of the non-content changes with this expansion is apparently getting patched into regular Diablo 3 anyway.

Lol...

At any rate, a new act, difficulty modes, more levels, more loot AND a new class. The class probably justifies the price by itself.

Thing is, Lord of Destruction came with 2...

Disappointing that only the console versions have offline. I reckon the expansion would only be for the ps4 on consoles and they would have the need to be always online.

With regards to expansions, I only feel that the Civ V ones justify the high price tag.
