All Steelseries mice have acceleration, prediction and a bunch of other crap. Terrible sensor.

Correction: no prediction on that mouse, but still acceleration.

and nothing will turn you good at FPS other than practice, tons of practice.

G700

Wireless and laser.
You know....I really wanted to get an optical wireless mouse, but they didn't have one.

angle snap and prediction both suck hard when actually trying to play an FPS.

It exaggerates a little bit (anything non-perfect without a fix is labelled s***). 518 has prediction which means small non-90deg movements are ignored in favor of drawing a straight line, resulting in clipped inputs.

Otherwise, it's fine. The effect is more pronounced at low DPI, but it is a quantifiable flaw. When there are quite a few mice without it (and one with the same chassis even), there's little reason to choose the 518.

Logitech's latest firmware made me eh though (no USB rate options afaik).

The best course of action is to just get the information you need, then get out while you're still alive. - destroy everything on GameFAQs

And you'll find that most people that play FPS games(at least professionally) use extremely low sens and DPI.

Corsair Raptor maybe. Technically, no matter how good the mouse is, you still need the skill. A pro can easily pwn average people even with just an old ball mouse.

How is the Logitech g500S?
#30XiviosPosted 2/5/2014 5:54:20 AM
The 400S is much, much better. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the 500, but the ergonomics are identical and its sensor is vastly superior.
