For the last few days all of the USB ports on my computer have been losing the ability to run my keyboard and mouse. They had been working fine for months and now just arent. sometimes the light for the optical mouse will come on and yet the cursor still wont move. there seems to be nothing else at all wrong with the comp.

i really dont know what to do to fix this, or if it can be fixed, or what caused it. i practice safe web browsing and have an up to date anti virus. Right now im posting from my Vita in hopes to get an answer.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like something wrong with the motherboard, I would guess a capacitor going bad. A fix would be to get a USB add-on card and use that instead.
