Help with new build, need Sound Card & More RAM

#1MetaXGrossPosted 2/8/2014 2:41:26 PM
I was most likely going to buy this build. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2CL79

It's exactly what I want for the price, I don't care to play high-end games, just Terraira, Minecraft, LoL, games like that at smooth 60fps.

Thing is, now I want more RAM. 16GB now. I don't care to dish out the extra money for more efficient RAM, so can somebody get the best RAM for me for what I'll be doing. DDR3 I'm guessing still too.

And then I wanted a Sound Card, for FL Studio mainly. I'm not going fancy with special equipment, just want a good Sound Card to better utilize FL Studio sounds.

It'd be good to keep the price under $650 or even under $600 if possible.

Thanks!

Bump.

The RAM is more important, so if someone just does the RAM for me that's fine, i'll take it without a Sound Card.

just add any 2x8 gb ram set but that will put you over your budget already

I had the PC made for me a while back, it seems the RAM isn't being added into the total.

So 2x8GB is better/more efficient then 4X4GB right?

From what I want to do with my PC, will 16GB be overkill? I'm just assuming since the PC I have now I've had for 5+ years, I would probably keep the newer one for 3-5. Figured having 16GB of RAM will just be better in the long way as I never plan to upgrade it once assembled.

EDIT: If I decide to stay at 8GB Ram, is it better to have 1x8GB, or 2X4GB?
