Are the Batman Arkham games better with a controller or kb and m?

Depends on the game but I like using the KB/M for batman.

I tried K/M in Origins and didn't like it. (played the other two on consoles) I use the Dualshock 4 with Origins.

There are only two types of games that I would concede that a controller is better for and those are fighting games and 2D platformers. Everything else KBM can do either just as well if not better.

even racers?

While I may not agree with your opinion, I will defend to the death your right to have it.

Why just 2D platformers? Gamepads offer so much bigger of an advantage for the 3D ones...

Controller for me. I play all 3rd person games with a controller with my PC hooked up to my TV ;p They are good couch games and personally it always felt more natural to use a controller on 3rd person actions games. Still K/M is perfectly functional in the batman series.

I say just 2D platformers because I've never had problems with the 3D ones since they typically allow free camera rotation through using the mouse. This is the biggest advantage over controllers since I look around freely while fighting thugs at the same time instead of only being able to do one or the other. This has been true for all games I've played of this type back from Prince of Persia: the Sands of Time to today's Assassin's Creed IV and Batman: Arkham Origins.

2D platformers are a different case since the kinds of moves you typically have to do on those games work much better on a D-Pad with your thumb.
