Not sure if serious.

im dead Serious. If 500 isn't going to cut it, then I can bump it up to $700. If not that, i'll have to take some more cash out of my savings and get a more expensive gaming Laptop. i'll probably be broke for quite awhile Though.

which is why i want to get something in the 500 dollar range right Now.

I'd say $1200 is more like the bar to entry to any real gaming laptop that will do what you describe.

I find it funny people listing laptops that aren't even 1080p.

Do they even make laptops that are 1080p around $500? Let alone run games at medium/60fps at that resolution?

Need at LEAST $1000. You can spend $2000 if you want to, personally I would rather buy something cheaper and upgrade more often than overspend. Technology moves so fast, you can't really say something will be good for 5 years.

Yes. Ironically the really weak tablet hybrids are more likely to have a 1080p screen than simple laptops.

You can get one but its not going to be any thing special. you will be able to run things like Farcry 3 and Skyrim with it but will be on medium to low setting with a low FPS. you are better off taking that $500 building a decent gaming Desktop.

You will get some thing far more powerful and upgradable for more future use. you cant really upgrade a Laptop at least the parts that matter.

Skyrim will run with ease on a $500 laptop, it will run at 60fps on high settings. If you can't do that, maybe your country is Third World and can't import decent tech for its population to buy.
