I currently have a PC with I5-3750 processor, 16gb ram and an Asus GTX 780. I read that newer games like Watch Dogs and Thief will require an I7 processor. Will I still be able to run those games or do i need to upgrade to an I7?

That is inaccurate.

They highly recommend and i7 or AMD octo-core.

They do state that they only support 64bit operating systems though.

Basically, they want their game to look awesome but can't optimize for s*** so they pass the burden on to users.

it'll probably be 10 years at the least(or however long until the next console generation) until games exceed the minimum requirement of the 3570.

PC hardware doesn't need to match console hardware in price when PC gamers save literal thousands from the software they buy.

A 3750 will serve you fine for a while, hardly a need to upgrade.

no you should not.

i7 processors arent 8 core, they're just 4core just like upper i5 processors. the only difference of i7 is they have hyperthreading which is garbage for games.

As of currently this is true but more games will use multiple threads
