Gamespot: $149 Nvidia GTX 750 Ti plays Titanfall better than Xbox One
I had a chance to buy a one or PS4 in December. Im kind of glad I didn't. You can basically make a computer better then a next gen console for about $450. This does not include a screen cause no one includes in console cost either.
Going to definitely need 8 GB RAM, but RAM is so hilariously cheap these days it doesn't matter. You can buy 8 gigs for $80 which is plenty. Even that, those 8 gigs would be high performance gaming RAM. You can buy the 16gb of G Skill I just got for $159.99.
You'd also need a mobo which is going to run $70 or so (for a decent one). Then just read how to overclock and you'll be sailing.
Computers do far more than a XBox One as well. Cheapest desktops that are manufactured are like $350-400. So add that to your cost if you're considering an upgrade.
$850 budget will DESTROY PS4/XOne and then you got a nice computer for other items. And yes there are XBox exclusive games, but there are also PC exclusive including the ENTIRE RTS genre. I think you can buy a keyboard/mouse for the XBox but then there's another cost that goes along with it... and the RTS genre just hasn't caught on to console.
Intel 930i, 770 GTX, 16GB G Skill Ripjaw X, Asus Sabertek, Intel 80gb SSD, WIndows 7 64.
You can probably build a PC that eats less power and outperforms Xbone for a lower cost at this point.
Xbox One Killer...?

RAM prices actually kind of suck right now. I got 2x8GB of G Skill Ares for like $85 a couple years ago.

My wifes A8 and 6750M runs it better than the XboxOne. The Beta atleast from what ive played on both.
GTFO. I'am not an Xbox fanboy but the Xbone has a gpu equivalent to a 7850. No F'in way is that puny 6750 faster than a 7850. The only wait it would be running even 30 FPS is to lower every graphic settings to a MINIMUM and play at a resolution lower than 800x600.

Uh, no it doesn't. PS4 has a 7850 equivalent GPU. Xbone is closer to a 7770, IIRC.

Yea whatever I got them mixed up. My point being is that no way his computer runs better than an xbone or a ps4. It's most likely a laptop or something since he has an APU.

I'm still rockin' my reference 680 from 2012 and it roflstomps both the Xbone and the PS4. It's funny that even the cheap, low end gpus are killing consoles. As stated before here. The 360/ps3 were impressive when they were released... the Xbone is embarrassing and the PS4 is decent for the price but still weaksauce.
PC is where it's at. 1080/60 has been a way of life for years now... console gamers with the "most powerful" console are still struggling to achieve this. Sad.

We just keep doing the wrong thing until it turns out right.
I would think by now people would have figured out that cost is not the primary reason people prefer consoles, it's the lack of effort needed.
Consoles are for people who just want to plug the box in, create a username, and play. PC's are for people willing to give their machine a little extra attention. Price is not the factor it's made out to be.
