Final input from anyone? Or save up and get one of these Gsync things? Prob is I have a GTX 780ti with an IPS monitor but I can survive if Gsync monitors take the best of both worlds.

All the first gen G-Sync monitors seem to be TN panels.

I'd also wait to see how AMD's G-Sync response and the industry responds moving forward.

a Quality non TN panel is worth more IMO, and will last you quite a while.

PM'd you. Suggestion on a higher end non TN panel that possibly doesn't have terrible latency?

I'm pretty sure you'll be satisfied with your new monitor

I will say this again, why don't you get a 1440p monitor? A 780 TI is meant for higher resolutions.

What difference am I getting at 1440p? Also figured I'd run everything easily at 1920x1080 for a whileeee, and it's not going to cost crazy expensive. (spending 5-6 on a better monitor I'd take the hit for)

You'd be getting a pretty big quality difference. 1440p has 78% more pixels than 1080p does. So far my 780 TI does a great job at running 1440p. At worst, games like Crysis 3 and Metro Last Light you have to tone down the AA some. Look into some Korean panels. They're higher quality panels than what you're going to find with 1080p/120hz monitors and I bought mind for under $300. Shipped from Korea in two days as well.

My two cents. Stick with a 1080p monitor for now. It sounds like a 1080p one is going to fit your wants far more than a 1440p one.

1440p is the future, but not the present. I'd pickup either that Eizo, or the Asus/BenQ that's been recommended.

BUT, that's me, you gotta make your own choice. Don't let someone else make it for you.

Having a 780 TI, I can say that it runs 1440p great. Probably better than my previous GTX 680 ran 1080p. All I'm saying is that you can get a higher resolution monitor, better panel, cheaper and is easily overclockable. I can overclock mine to 110hz with no issues. The picture quality is far and ahead of the 120hz 1080p Acer that I have(which I decided to keep around for the off time I want to 3D game)
