If I could get a 4k monitor at a good price, should I bother?

You see the specs below, let's say I could get the Dell 32" 4k monitor that is 60hz for a really good price. Do you think it would be worth my effort, or should I just wait until I upgrade my video cards first and then a year or two from now grab a monitor?

I think the general rule is 4GB of VRAM, so I'd wait.

No, even the Dell 4k monitor isn't that great for gaming. Wait for the technology to flesh itself out a bit.

Just to add to this, it's a tiled 4K display, so it's 4K or nothing for games. Not to mention general DPI scaling problems. It also uses soon to be outdated ports (HDMI 1.4 and Display Port 1.2).

You probably wouldn't have much fun gaming at that resolution since it's so demanding to drive 4K. If you want it for other things it might be worth it, though.
