Should I bother trying to upgrade or just go for a completely new computer?

So I've been thinking about upgrading my computer but I'm starting to think it would be better to just wait until I have enough money to buy a whole new one, what to do y'all think?

If I need to give any more info, let me know.

Also, I've recently noticed a faint buzzing sound coming from the comp, any guesses as to what could be causing it? I haven't had the time to open it up and look at it myself yet.

^this is best.

though to be fair you'll still be able to play everything out on decent settings if you just get a better graphics card... i'd say start with the gpu and possibly psu and then you can transfer those to the new build later on.

Is there any card you would suggest specifically? I'm not sure my case can hold some of the newer cards. And what wattage PSU should I be aiming for? My current one is 400 but from what I've been Googling about the buzzing from my first post, the sound is often a sign of PSU failing.

This is the perfect situation for a GeForce GTX 750 Ti. It's a very low wattage, small and still has a little punch to it and can play any game at the expense of lowering some details for brand new games. You probably don't even have to upgrade your power supply since it only runs off the power provided on your PCI express slot.

Here is a small version that should fit in just about any case for $150

And if it turns out that your power supply is going on the fritz then you can replace it with this very good power supply for only $20 after rebate:

^ 750ti isn't a bad idea if you're very crunched on money right now.

Otherwise I'd go ahead and build a new PC.

750ti sounds like what I need, thanks guys. Hopefully I won't need it but the PSU also looks good.
