Can't seem to play Thief Gold now.

I downloaded Thief Gold yesterday via Steam and it worked fine when I opened it up as a test. However today I keep on getting a popup saying "Resolution in in cam.cfg does not match that given in ddfix.ini".

My computer is a Windows 7 64 Bit if that'll help.

So what's the issue here and how can I solve it so I can play Thief Gold?

Mine's the same. Haven't found a fix yet.

Could it be the texture problem?

When I played Thief gold, I had to limit to a single core by alt tabbing, and I had to have some nVidia texture pack fix.

You need to mod the games to make them playable on modern systems without issues.

To do that with the Steam versions, you actually have to install the game, then copy the game folder to C:\ (somewhere outside Progam Files that Steam doesn't know about) then mod the copy there.

If Steam knows where it is, some of the mods won't work, and they won't work if it's in Program Files.

The mod for Thief 2 is called taffer patcher, I can't remember what the one for Thief Gold is. It may have been DDFix but I think it was something else.

I'm pretty sure that ddfix is outdated now that the newdark patch has been released. I'd recommend a fresh install and use TFix, which includes the newdark engine and should run without problems.
