Ah, well that drops it down to $466 then. You can knock off another $42 if you live near a Microcenter.

Well, seeing as neither XB1 or PS4 even run the game at 1080p, I'd say that would be pretty good.

It's sort of sad how far ahead even relatively low-end computers are when compared to the new consoles. I don't even see myself needing an upgrade for my year-old $600 PC for another year or two the way things are going.

Why would anyone buy a $500 xbox when they can buy a computer for the same price with the same performance?

Well, the one reason that I have owned any console to date while being a PC gamer going back to the Tandy is b/c of the exclusives.

Once those tight ass exclusives come down the pipe-line, I'll be all over the next gen consoles.

And, I like playing on the original format. I still have all my 8-bit to 32-bit systems as well as my Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2, and Xbox-OG still connected to a CRT. I know that I can play all these systems via emulator, but where's the nostalgic fun in that?

Well, IMO the nostalgia stems from playing the games with the systems Original controller, and on PC you can pretty much get any systems controller.

Don't get me wrong, I own every console from NES-PS3, but setting up all those consoles would be a pain, so I'd rather just emulate any game I want to on one piece of hardware while still maintaining the Nostolgia of playing the game with the Original controller.

If you could emulate the CRT TV for the N64/Playstation 1 and earlier, I'd agree, but without that it's just not the same.
