i'm very intrigued in this because i was told temps can drop 20c under full load, which gives you a lot more room to overclock

if anyone has done it how were the end results?

i think it's nice

I've done that on my 3570k, and the results are outstanding.

If you're inquiring about deliding a CPU on gamefaqs you're likely not ready to delide a CPU.

Have you accepted Raspberyl as your loli and savior?

i've seen tons of videos and doing it shouldn't be a problem (or finding someone skilled at it to do it for me)..what i want to know are other peoples experience with it

Wooden block and rubber mallet. Hasn't failed me yet. Only had 2 to do but probably 2 more than 99% on here. Not sure on temps as I did it for others and not myself. They seemed happy with the results though.

necroing ftw

when you delid do you keep it delid or are you reapplying better thermal paste?

there are voltage regulators and i heard that if some of that paste gets on that you could cause a short curcuit

It has a 25% failure rate no matter how skilled you are.

IMO it's not worth the risk at all. Just buy a better cooler.
