What is the hottest one can safely run a 4670K?

I get 28 low 63 high and 30-33 idle. From what I have gathered that is a normal range.

My curiosity is at what temps should I worry about over heating?

What cooling method are you using?
And what is the best FREE benchmark/stress test software I can use?

I have a 4670k and an h80i and I'm looking to OC.

I have been using core temp. I have been curious as to what other board members would advise.

Not even GPUs can handle that high, let alone a cpu.. and even if it did, the life of the cpu will go down very quickly...

The cpu will downclock itself if the temp goes too high.

105C is the threshold set by Intel at which an i5-4670K starts throttling itself in an attempt to keep the temperature under 105C. Well I know the i7-4770K does, I presume the i5-4670K behaves the same.

Alright so 80 to 85.

That seems to match what I have read from other sources.
