Lately I've struggled getting into any games. I think it's because I've been looking for open world games like Bethesda games and the Stalker games. Although they are decent games, they lack any memorable characters, so I really couldn't care less what happens to anyone or anything and I then have no reason to play the game.
So, I need a game with a LOT of character. I want characters that you love and hate and drama, emotions, etc. What do you have for me? --- http://penguinpetes.com/gallery/MyWalls/pigeon_chess.png
....why would you ever care what happens to some digital data that means nothing and has no relevance on anything? That's weird. --- HE are genius, firstly. - ASlaveObeys GestapoFAQs http://i.imgur.com/prqCDHz.png http://i.imgur.com/ooNGE4u.png
With Bethesda, they did a good job with Fallout 3 and then there's Obsidian's New Vegas that did everything even better. It goes without saying that the first 2 games are must play games as well.
If you own a PS3 then it's very worth checking out the Uncharted series, The Last Of Us, Heavy Rain, and Beyond: Two Souls.
The Blackwell series, there are 4 games and they all take the look and style of 90's graphic adventure games. In 3 of the games you play as Rosangela Blackwell, a socially awkward woman in her 30's (she comes out of her shell more as the series goes on) who finds out that her aunt was a medium, and so was her grandmother (but she ignored it until she died) and Rosa now has this ghost that is bound to her, he teaches her how to find supernatural occurrences and how to convince the ghosts to move past this world. It's full of great characters, memorable moments, and a lot of character development. The one game Rosa isn't in is a prequel where you play as her chain smoking aunt in the 70's. It's really awesome.
Telltale Games is great with character. Their take on the Sam & Max series is awesome and they bring in some new characters to the franchise like the paranoid convenience store owner Bosco. Back To The Future was great too. Then there's the obvious with The Walking Dead game and The Wolf Among Us. --- http://i.imgur.com/Zu6jtNK.jpg http://www.last.fm/user/akuma634

For the same reason people care about characters in books, movies, and pretty much every other piece of media: Because everybody loves a good story. Try again, champ. --- Me: Nobody takes the appeal system seriously so nobody cares if you remove their appeal privileges. *removes my appeal privilages* Yep, sure f***ing showed me.
