From what I found out that the max temp is 100c for the CPU. I also found out they can run well above said temp and not shut itself down for overheating issues. Apparently mobile AMD cpu's have a history of this. Running that hot will eventually kill the CPU altogether.

Anyways.... What most like the problem is that the Heatsink between the APU and the CPU wasn't applied properly. It also be the fan itself as well.

It doesn't matter since Lenovo is taking care of it for you.

it was/has been fine for 9 months or so, I expect it to be thermal paste linked or maybe you are correct.
