Trying to decide between PS4 and PC - PC build included

Hi everyone,

I've been debating between getting a PS4 (once it gets some decent games) or a gaming PC that will provide a gaming experience equal or better to the next gen consoles.

So far I've came up with the following build:

What's everyone's opinion?

You're asking the PC board, of course we're going to tell you to get a PC. =P

That build would be way better than the PS4.

That PC is a good amount better than the PS4. With the limited PS4 games that are out now it is a no brainier to go with the pc.

you need a cooler for that and... maybe another case unless you really want to go for the "steambox" look.

PC hardware doesn't need to match console hardware in price when PC gamers save literal thousands from the software they buy.

I'll probably get a PS4 if Final Fantasy XV ends up being worth the wait and if they get any other decent JRPGs. I'm a fan of RPGs, action adventure and some fighting and racing games so it seems like I'd be leaning towards the PS4, however, I am banking on the belief that the PC will handle multiplats much better.

I don't plan on OCing the processor right away but will most likely get a cooler and OC after a year or so. I will update the GPU several years from now as developers unlock the PS4's potential and new GPU models get released and prices drop.

I'm going with the HTPC case because I plan to place the PC in my entertainment center and hook it up to a TV and play at 720p/1080p.

Any further suggestions on this build would be appreciated. I'm hoping that it will outperform the PS4 for the next several years.

Get both. I have a PS4 for exclusives and a PC for...well, everything else.
