I purchased one off ebay and you have valid concerns. Honestly mine came in slightly defective, but I don't care. The bezels they use are terrible and the monitor sunk in to the bezel about a centimeter or less, so the bottom is cut off. I can easily open it up and fix it, but I'm too lazy and it is hard to notice.
You can spend $400 on a console and $400 on a cheap PC, or you can spend $800 to build your own and have the best of both worlds.
I bought an X-Star monitor (same as the QNIX) and it's good for the price. Mine came with 2 dead pixel and has some minor backlight bleed, but they're only noticeable when the screen is black or really dark. It overclocked to 120hz very easily. It's a smexy monitor.
Also, I was worried it would take a long time to ship from Korea, but my monitor only took 3 or 4 days to get here.
Hmm, I really haven't heard very many people who are upset, actually I haven't heard of a single person who is. Even people who had to ship them back said it was painless and the guys were very helpful and understanding
