More like a counter to Android/ChromeOS.
More and more, it feels like I'm doing a really bad impersonation of myself.

Thought about getting win8 awhile ago. But I have a few in-game friends who said they don't like it, particularly for gaming its not all that great. So i never did.

The part with Bing sounds really lame, but all around it would be good for everyone with free future Windows.
Super Mario Kart is the single best Mario Kart ever!

Why would it be "not that great" for gaming? It's literally the same thing as Windows 7 except with more features (I especially love the new Task Manager & the neat graph you get when transferring files) and a new Start menu that takes no more than 2 days to get used to.

They are "in-game friends" so i don't take their words to heart.. I don't know them in real life. So maybe they are wrong. i just haven't found a big reason to upgrade from win 7 to win8.

Well considering some newer games run better in Win 8 than Win7 and virtually none run worse... yeah tell your friends to get a clue before speaking.
