When you get to the menu where you select F8 try either last good configuration or disable automatic restart and look at the error the BSOD gives.

And now all my stuff is crashing. Thanks a lot...

He gave legitimate advice. Don't act bitterly towards those trying to help. Easiest fix is probably to reformat the HDD and then reinstall Windows fresh, applying the SP's as you go.

Still getting the loop thing. Oh well I think the best thing for me to do while they fix it is to go to my local job gym and find a job. I think it's time I get a computer that wasn't made 9 years ago haha

If you are getting a restart when its about to get into Windows and does this indefinitely then your HDD is dead. I had this happen to me once on a system and replace the drive fixed everything.
We're Americans! We don't quit just because we're wrong.
We just keep doing the wrong thing until it turns out right.

You should install Windows 8.
You can spend $400 on a console and $400 on a cheap PC, or you can spend $800 to build your own and have the best of both worlds.

Why are you using Windows XP at all?

Why not? I've upgraded to 7 and 8, but other than a few Directx 10/11 games, there's no point for me.

Windows 7 and 8 have much better performance, and get a lot more support.

What's the point in staying with an archaic OS?

Maybe using an ancient OS is causing a problem?

Well, I've got a few desktop rigs and a laptop, so there's no harm keeping one running WXP SP3.

As for performance, XP boots faster than 7 and is much less resource-intensive, my page file is 90mb on fresh boot.

8 of course boots faster, but my rigs are almost always on so this means nothing to me.

Other than a few games that require later versions of DX, I have no reason to upgrade. I have only done so to keep up with innovations (innovations I don't personally need, but just have an objective interest in).

Because Microsoft is cutting off support in April. If you're still using it by then your PC will be wide open to attacks.
