TF2
1. Community that knows how to have a good time instead of taking the game too seriously.
2. Custom game modes like Balloon Race, Soccer, and Wario Ware keep the game from getting boring.
3. Still receives regular updates from Valve 7 years later.
4. A large amount of people still play it.
5. Graphics still look good today.

Mount and Blade Warband

- It's extremely addictive.
- I never get sick of the combat.
- It just lets you get on with the gameplay (ie No elaborate 'cutscenes' or whatever).
- I equally enjoy playing it offline and online.
- There are some decent mods. for it.

This for me

Koumajou Densetsu II: Stranger's Requiem
-It's Touhou + Classicvania
-Really high difficulty without being unfair
-Developers went through effort of making their own English patch for international players
-No BS control limitations like in the original Castlevania games.
-Sakuya is a badass

This game is what action-platformers should strive to be.

How does one go about getting this? It sounds very Japanese and isn't on Steam.

Yeah it's obviously Japanese and it's a Touhou fangame, so you can pretty much never expect it to go on Steam. The only way you can buy it now is if you find a specialist hobby importer or search for someone who will resell it.

For the other option, well... you can probably try DoujinStyle. The rest is up to you.

-Great Graphics and color scheme for a strategy game

It was really hard to choose between Planescape Torment, Civ 5,, mount and Blade, Crusader Kings 2 and Mount and Blade. I've changed my mind like 8 times since I posted.

broken sword 1

hand painted graphics still look unique and amazing today
i can replay it and never get bored despite knowing what happens in it
i can still get drawn into the story despite playing it too many times to count
not that hard to beat if you know what you're doing, can be a b*** if you dont
i can still find new things with each new play through that i didnt notice in previous play throughs
