Windows 7 vs 8.1 in gaming..

Currently have a 780ti on Windows 7 64bit Pro, and was wondering if the upgrade to 8.1 would be worth it, it seems to benefit some games alot, particularly BF4.

seems like most will tell you that if you have 64bit windows 7, just stick with that for now, upgrade isnt worth it.... but if building from scratch may as well go with windows 8.1

General consensus seems to be that 8.1 is better, but it's not a big enough deal to go out and buy it. If you're not paying for it or money doesn't matter I would consider it.

Alot? No. Might see some minor increases in a few cpu limited games but not too many. BF4 I think would gain roughly 10% but most games will see negligible gains or losses.

I've gotten the performance boosts from 8, in 7 by disabling CPU core parking.

7! because I want to throw my laptop out of the window because it automatically updated to 8.1 and I am having resolution problems like menus from Desura that would not display properly and I could not click it nor uninstall it.
