My CPU says on the box "Requires Discrete GPU" Does this mean...

Does this mean that I won't get any display to a monitor unless a graphics card is installed?

Does it also mean that the video feed HAS to be coming from the GPU (Graphics card) and won't work from the integrated Mobo video ports?

It means the CPU has no integrated graphics. You need a dedicated GPU. The ports on your motherboard are useless if the CPU doesn't have its own graphics.

Why would you even use the Mobo graphics? Only slots I use are the USB and Ethernet slots, only ones worth using IMO.

I was trying to diagnose a problem, taking out the video card to troubleshoot other things.

Turns out you need one. Who didn't know that? This guy right here.
