Greenman for the win! Got the game for $45, still would have paid $60 for it though. Best south park game ever!

because ubisoft. their one of the few publishers who insist on pushing $60 pc games.

No. That $10 on top was purely for packaging and cuts for console manufacturers. Publishers added the $10 on PC games (Activision started this with one of the Call of Duty games if I remember correctly) as a test to see if people would pay, which is why it has persisted.

I guess I should have said for console games theres those reasons i listed for cost being so high, Now that I think about it i remember when Bobby Kotick did that and i believe it started with MW2.

Because people are stupid enough to want this game that they can get away with jacking up the price.

Because they can get away with it. Consoles take $10 off for the privilege of being on their consoles, plus shipping and manufacturing. None of that exists with digital PC releases, however, so there's really no excuse for it. Honestly, going by how much games cost to make now, all prices everywhere should be going up, yet only PC games have seen a notable increase within recent memory. We'll see with this coming generation, however; I predict console games being boosted to $70, and PC games soon to follow- because they can.

Doesnt Valve take 30%, even more than any console manufacture?

If games go up to $70 I'll never buy a newly released game ever again. Dev costs wouldn't be so outrageous if they learned to manage their damn money.
