Drop the cooler and 4 gigs of ram, get a 4570 and a 660.

That would be over his budget

His current is $670, dropping the cooler and ram gives him $120 to play with. +$80 to get a 4570, +$20 get a 660, +20 for a b85 mobo.

That case is poo. I find most of thermals stuff poo. There are much better cases around that price.

What are you trying to keep safe by getting the cooler? If you're not overclocking the CPU the OEM hearsink is fine. Been running my 6300 on stock cooler for a year and it's never gotten close to max temp underload. Save the money for more important pieces as Philz was saying.

Okay, I wouldn't know how to install that cooler anyways. If I wanted to possibly overclock in the future, are the parts that I have chosen capable of doing it? I'm curious. And tell me a better case to get for $40 shipped please.

Nxzt source 210 elite is a great $40 case. Unless you require something flashy and windowed then I can't help you. I prefer cases with space for cord management and good airflow.

If you can't put that Evo 212 on then you might want to rethink building a PC. It's no harder or easier than anything else you will do.

Air cooling wise, the setup is fine. A case is a personal pick although if it were me, I'd choose this one http://pcpartpicker.com/part/sentey-case-gs6000. It has great reviews on newegg too.

I think it looks great especially when the LEDS are red, blue, or a mixture of colors. Outside of that it has great airflow which is another plus. Room for 3 120MM fans and a 180MM fan will do great for cooling the rig.

Ones preference... I don't like LEDs on my hardware. I rather have it be plain looking. Its all personal preference.
