So basically that's my best option you say... I hear the stock heatsink on that 4670 is no good. Would I need a cooler?

It's passable. The biggest problem with it is that the fan is kinda loud. Temps should be fine since you won't be overclocking.

Hell, I see the 4670 for only 20 dollars more... why not go with that?

If you think it's worth the extra money go for it, it's 10% more money for about 5% more performance. Personally, I think the 4570 and 4670k (plus cooler and Z87 mobo) offer the best values, I just don't like the 4670. It's normally about a $30 difference though, the 4570 is just a bit more expensive than it normally is right now. If you're willing to put a bit more money down you'll get a bit more performance, it's up to you whether or not it's in your budget.

If you really just want a great machine on no budget, get a solid $150~200 Z87 motherboard, 4770k, and 780Ti.
The listed i5 build with a 660, though, is a good build around the budget of the original listing.
